A few announcements.

First of all... Chuck Palahniuk is the man. I would be willing to go and call him one of my writing gods (a writer I really like) alongside Irvine Welsh and Sarah Waters. (can you tell I like Sarah Waters by reading Sun-kissed? Eheheh...) Finally finished Lullaby the night before last. Loved the ending. Well, loved the whole book. One of those you can't put down. Except that I did. For about two months even...

Second: it's SNOWING! Snowsnowsnowsnowsnowsnowsnow! By the sound of the raindrops on the windowsill I thought it rains, but when I opened the curtains, it's snowing! The ground is still too warm and/or wet for it to stay in most places. Have to eat breakfast fast and get out there. I have a day off. ^^

Third: As of 00:18 last night, Ilmyra is now lvl 40! She's also an artisan in Cooking, Fishing, First aid and Skinning. Expert in Leatherworking. Got plenty of leathers to work with, it's the other stuff the recipe's require that's the problem.

And last: Old whore's diet really does get me going in the morning. It's a song by Rufus Wainwright, and it got me going and to work for one whole summer a few years back. Before I changed the cd on my stereos. Now I didn't have any music player except for the computer, so yesterday I finally went and got one. So now I won't have to listen to the ticking of clocks every night in bed. I hate the ticking of clocks with the passion of several burning suns. So this is a big improvement. And that song still gets me going in the mornings. Which are something I also really really despise.

Mmm. Hot milk tea. ^^

It's alive!

Computer, that is. Had to reinstall Windows in the end, and every damn program I had on C, which would be all of them. At least I had all my music and games on D.

During my absence I watched half a season of Babylon 5, ate a tub of Ben & Jerry's, drank some Guinness, cleaned up, drew a picture and dyed my hair purple. Mom's as well. Read several comic books. Watched movies and other dvd's.

...

Guess this thing should break down more often.

Had a bit of a fright yesterday, and suddenly I'm happy with my crappy job and even the fact that I haven't got a place of my own to live in. As long as I'm here. @__@

Now, have to run or I'll be late for that crappy job of mine.

Ranting and raving and carrying on

So the little virus problem was NOT cleared on Wednesday. Nope, not at all. Oh no. I asked for help with this thing, but one who could help apparently doesn't give a flying fuck, and another basically just points and laughs. "You just don't know how to use it." Thank you Captain Obvious. Why do you think I'm asking for help then?!

At least N and her man are trying to help. Thank you lovelies. Not that anything seems to get rid of the fuckers. N's man said I might have to re-install Windows and wipe the whole hard disk clean or something. Which would make me lose all the stuff on the computer. Can't save anything onto a memory stick, since the worms would infect those as well. Can it really be this fucking hard?!

I got all my stories, pictures, photos of London, everything on my computer! Of course I have copies of the stories (photos too, I think...) but not most of the pictures. I'm not completely stupid, even if this thing is making me feel like it.

Can't even play WoW. This whole week has been a complete pain in the ass, and now work is making me want to pull my hair out. "Find the files in this list here. They're not, of course, called the same thing they are on this list, and they can be either in the e-mails from 2005 to 2008, in files or in another computers." Five minutes later: "You're still not done? Well I'll go have a cup of coffee, call me when you're done."

Asshole.

I think I need booze. A lot of it. Need to get my alcohol tolerance to what it used to be... and what better time to start than now.

Remember, remember, the 5th of November...

And congratulations America! Woo!

What a bright and sunny -and cold- 5th of November it has been. I had intended to spend the afternoon, after getting off work, doing some casual questing in WoW (Ilmyra is 32 already!) and by watching V for Vendetta. Again. Instead, I spent four and a half hours trying to get an especially stubborn virus out of my computer. The smarter one eventually gave in and disappeared, after I had completely lost my temper and drank half a bottle of Amarula fruit cream.

Then I watched V for Vendetta. The end music is still playing. Hugo Weaving is the man. I've liked him since I first saw him in The adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the desert. That's got to be the best movie in existence.

Tattoo is healing very nicely, the old skin is pretty much all gone. Sweet. I got two more planned!

Now, to bed.
